Ben Watt starts new monthly column for Caught By The River

Cool Oak founder, Ben Watt, starts a new monthly column for arts-nature journal Caught By The River today. The diary will capture his journey campaigning for Brent Reservoir (Welsh Harp). Read the first entry.

Ben is a musician and writer, best known as one half of Everything But The Girl. His grandfather was the BBC’s first naturalist-broadcaster in the 1930s, and his 2014 memoir ‘Romany and Tom’, about his parents, was nominated for the Samuel Johnson (Baillie Gifford) Prize.

In 2022 - following a year of independent environmental campaigning - he founded Cool Oak in partnership with Welsh Harp Conservation Group’s Leo Batten and Magnus Andersson, and Friends of the Welsh Harp’s Daniella Levene and Leila Taheri.
